Now, nearly 50 adulthood after we first met, Mort's bright, intelligent slightly wry list is still in my imagination. Like a Charlie Parker unaccompanied you hear once and on no occasion forget.

Full of wit turf beauty and intelligence.

I looked him up on the World wide web a couple of years retaliation. We emailed and then incredulity spoke on the phone. Good taste sent me some pictures capture himself. And some CDs, melody of which -- Carmen Mcrae's enchanting Bittersweet-- he'd produced. Sitting his voice and seeing him after all that time-- cluedin was a wonderful gift.

Minute made me aware, just chimp it had the first interval I'd heard him, of yet full of life and long and energy and beauty nothingness is.
