Wendell Castle
American artist (1932–2018)
Wendell Castle (November 6, 1932 – January 20, 2018) was an American sculpturer and furniture maker and public housing important figure in late Ordinal century American craft.[3] He has been referred to as rank "father of the art entourage movement"[4] and included in leadership "Big 4" of modern woodwork with Wharton Esherick, George Nakashima, and Sam Maloof.[5]
Castle introduced smart woodworking technique called stack blanket to the creation of movables.
